Our alternative fee structures allow us to offer our services at what we believe to be more affordable prices than many other law firms that focus on education law. That’s because, with our alternative fee structures, we absorb a substantial portion of the risk that our clients will not win their case.
While every legal action is different, and we cannot provide an accurate estimate of the cost of pursuing a particular legal action without first speaking with you about your particular situation, below are examples of the various ways we sometimes structure our legal fees. (Not every fee structure will be offered in all cases. What fee structure we may offer depends upon our legal assessment of the case, and the likelihood of success.)
And, please remember, these fees are separate from out-of-pocket expenses that we may incur in connection with your legal action. Our clients are responsible for paying for out-of-pocket expenses, unless we explicitly agree otherwise (which we generally do not do).
(Depending on the legal issue you are facing, some of these structures bring with them considerations that may make them more or less attractive to you. At a Legal Needs Analysis, we’d be happy to speak with you about those considerations as they relate to your situation.)
